A colourful range of children's art, craft, sewing and cooking projects

Our after school cookery club is suitable for junior school children, aged 8+. It's full of tasting flavours, recipe ideas and busy budding cooks. The course will allow young chefs to learn how to make delicious, healthy food they want to eat. Discover a basic knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene, kitchen safety and how to read a recipe.

Examples of some of the dishes we will cook - spaghetti bolognese, stir fry, vegetable curry, chicken or sausage tray bake, pizza, salads and a few sweet treats like biscuits, scones and a banoffee or lemon dessert. The course is focussed on cooking proper healthy recipes, not just baking, although of course we love baking too!

Led by Karen Hepplewhite - founder of Kanteen Teenage Cookery School.
