Magpie Makes Terms & Conditions

 

Magpie Makes is the trading name of Magpie Makes Limited which is a company registered in England and Wales. The registered office is Unit 11, The Rythe Centre, Thames Ditton, KT7 0LE. The Company number is 9026073

 

Our terms & conditions apply to school clubs, parties, workshops and all other business conducted on behalf of Magpie Makes. We would advise you to read these carefully before booking.

 

The following terms and conditions will apply between you and Magpie Makes and do not affect your statutory rights. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

 

School Clubs

 

  • All school club places are non-refundable once payment has been made.

  • Your commitment to the club is ongoing, your child’s place in the club is secure term after term, until we receive notification from you. In this instance we kindly ask for 4 weeks notice.

 

  • Any school club sessions that are booked into and subsequently missed due to illness or other activities cannot be made up on any other dates nor can missed sessions be refunded.

 

  • We reserve the right to cancel or change a school club at short notice and will contact you if this need arises. In the event that we need to cancel or move a school club, you will be entitled to a refund or credit for another available date.

 

  • Payment for school clubs is termly and must be paid no less than two weeks after receipt of an invoice from Magpie Makes. Failure to pay these fees could result in your child losing their place in the class. If your child decides to leave the club during a half-termly block, no refunds will be offered except in exceptional circumstances.

 

  • A minimum number of attendees are required for a school club to run. We will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible if a club needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to low numbers and will offer a refund where necessary.

 

Parties

 

  • Party bookings require a £100 deposit payable on booking to hold the date. Please note that this booking fee is non-refundable.

 

  • Changing the date of your party is subject to availability and is only possible if the date change is within two months from the original date.

 

  • Magpie Makes will contact you for final party numbers at least three days prior to the date and will require full payment at this stage for the correct number of children expected. We regret that refunds cannot be issued for children unable to attend on the day.

  • All attendees of the parties MUST be 6+ for arty crafty, 7+ for sewing parties and 8+ for foodies parties.​

 

Workshops

 

  • All workshops are non-refundable once payment has been made.

 

  • Any workshops that are booked into and subsequently missed due to illness or other activities cannot be made up on any other dates nor can missed sessions be refunded.

 

  • We reserve the right to cancel or change a workshop date at short notice and will contact you if this need arises. In the event that we cancel or move a workshop, you will be entitled to a full refund or offered a credit for another available date.

 

  • Payment for workshops must be made at least 48 hours before date of the workshop. 

 

  • A minimum number of attendees are required for a workshop to run. We will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible if a workshop needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to too low numbers and will offer a full refund where necessary.

 

Whilst at Magpie Makes after school clubs and workshops all children are expected to use socially acceptable behaviour. The expectation is that all children show respect to one another and display positive attitudes to all members of the club at all times, including the club leader, and accept differences of race, gender, ability, ages and religion. Should a child’s behaviour fall short of these expectations or is dangerous or inappropriate in any way, Magpie Makes reserves the right to terminate their attendance with immediate effect.

 

Magpie Makes reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. We will aim to notify customers of any significant changes, but you are advised to check back regularly as you will be bound by these changes once they have been amended on the Magpie Makes website.

 

Magpie Makes complies fully with all relevant Data Protection laws (GDPR) and consumer legislation and treats all personal information as fully confidential. We collect your personal information when you book into a club or workshop, book a party or enter a competition.

 

When you make an enquiry, we will ask you if you would like to be entered onto our mailing list. Magpie Makes uses Mailerlite to manage this list. Mailerlite are a fully GDPR compliant data processor. Magpie Makes have never and will not ever share your details with third parties.
